Academy of Sound is a community and cultural project. Its key goal is to create social lift and community for young musicians who write songs in Russia. Our main product is a residence held in different regions each time.
The first workshops took place in Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk in 2020: 40 musicians came from all over the country to become our residents. We involved local recording studios, rehearsal spaces and concert venues. We developed our educational methodology focused on recording 40 original tracks in 2 weeks.
Our art camp finished with a massive concert. The creative community formed after the first season of Academy of Sound is still functioning. We continue to work on the project, expanding it and adding new forms of residences.
